After the success of last year’s first annual International Food Festival, the PTA and I are thrilled to announce the return of the festival on Friday 29th June. Put this date in your diary!

This year, the festival will be bigger and better!  The children and their families will have the chance to embrace the cultural diversity we are lucky to have at Garden Fields. On the day, we’d offer everyone the chance to taste dishes made from countries all over world, represented at school! Along with storytelling and traditional music for an inspiring afternoon!

And that’s where you come in! If you would like to be involved, we are looking for people to cook a typical dish or dishes from your heritage, bring it along to school on the Friday and serve a small ‘taster sample’ first to the children before school ends and then for families to try at the end of school.

Last year, it was just amazing seeing parents from all backgrounds come proudly together to celebrate our various cultures through the enjoyment of food.  The children, families and the teachers were buzzing with excitement and it was just the best afternoon!

if you would like to cook a dish to share and serve on the day, please email with information on your proposed dishes, by Friday 15th June.

We do need to know in advance who is able to cook so we can set up accordingly – we can’t accept recipes on the day.

If you have any questions you can either contact the PTA at the above email or Eliza at

Many thanks and we look forward to hearing from you!
