Communication

Please ensure we have your correct contact details. This is particularly important if we need to contact you in an emergency. Please inform the office staff as soon as possible if any of your details change (eg. phone numbers, address, doctor’s name, emergency contact details, etc). 

School website

Please visit the school website in the first instance if you have a query – it is regularly updated! You will find details about trips, sporting events, PTA events and more on the School Calendar.  If you have any feedback on the website, please email: admin@gardenfields.aetrust.uk. 

Blogs

We have private year group blogs. You can sign up for alerts when information is posted. Blogs are used by teaching staff to share what the children have been learning in the week and to send reminders to parents. We will share blog details at the beginning of the academic year or when your child joins us.

Arbor / SchoolComms

Arbor is our information system. We use it to communicate with parents and manage payments including trips, milk and any school run extra-curricular clubs.It is essential that we have your most up to date contact details on file at all times.

School Comms is used for payment for families which use our before and after school provision – The Hub – only.

Face to Face

We are here to help. Please however avoid trying to speak with teaching staff when dropping off your child in the morning as they will be busy welcoming the children. The School Office is open and staff will be happy to help you.

Post Box

There are two post boxes in the school lobby. They are emptied daily. Useful if you just have something to hand in.

There is a dedicated absence line if you need to advise us that your child is unwell. This is open 24hrs. This means that if your child is unwell in the night, for example, you can ring us then. We have to account for every child who is not in school. We will call you in the morning if we do not have a reason for your child’s absence.

We will occasionally text parents if we have been unable to get hold of them urgently by phone.

Emergency School Closure

If the school has to close at very short notice (eg. severe weather conditions such as snow), details of closure will be available via:

Parent View
